Preparing Working as a Nurse Abroad: A Guide for Indian Nurses… this can take a moment the first time.
Careers Abroad
Registration, a job offer and a visa are three separate steps. Passing an exam is not a job offer or visa approval.
USA
Choose the intended state board of nursing first. Requirements for credential assessment, the NCLEX-RN examination and English vary by state; employer assessment and work authorisation are separate processes.
Ireland
NMBI assesses qualifications for nurses trained outside the EU. Your assessed outcome decides any further steps; employment and immigration are separate.
Australia
Start with the NMBA/Ahpra international applicant Self-check. Not every Indian applicant follows the same assessment pathway; migration advice is separate.
Canada
Begin with the province or territory and your nursing category — requirements differ, and no single credential service applies to everyone.
United Kingdom
Follow the NMC overseas registration guide. Employer recruitment and work authorisation are separate steps to verify.
Middle East
UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait each have their own authorities. There is no single transferable “Middle East licence”.
Before you sign
Nobody can promise a salary, processing time, sponsorship or permanent residence. Check that any recruiter is legitimate, and confirm requirements with the regulator for your country and nursing category.
